Capital Campaign Update:
Beyond Vision, a 501©3 nonprofit with the sole mission of employing people who are visually impaired and blind is creating the first facility of its kind in Wisconsin–a 130,000 square foot inclusive and adaptive work and office facility. The capital campaign, which has just entered the public phase, will provide the funding and support to optimize accessibility for hundreds of adults aspiring for sustainable employment and career advancement:

• Textured walkways to aid in wayfinding along with audio navigation aids and braille signage;
• Ambient lighting to optimize the environment for people with limited vision and high contrast for people with low vision;
• Accessible computer systems including software making every position in the organization available to people with vision loss;
• Landscaping features which include, expanded green-spaces, service dog rest area, and public space for neighborhood inclusion;
• Wellness center featuring adaptive technology on workout machines and treadmills to provide a healthier work environment for all employees.
